Very nice place to switch off, in the middle of the forest and nature.

There is a good selection "to go", a good bratwurst after a hike is something nice!

We really fancied the menu, and it's a beautiful location with lots of outside tables - but no umbrellas or covered areas. And indoors it was dark and smoky. Obviously poorly ventilated. It didn't feel Covid-19 mitigated at all. So we didn't stay

Very friendly house, great and courteous service. We decided on Hokaido pumpkin soup and the main course was 1x venison goulash, Maultaschen and fried spaghetti with chili. Everything absolutely freshly prepared. And when do you see with your own eyes that the cook goes into the garden for the ordered dish to harvest herbs. Absolute recommendation !!!

In the deep forest you come to this forest restaurant. Don't let that deter you, the economy is coming ... We came here in the afternoon after a hike to have some food. The service was exhausted, but super nice - it was a very stressful Sunday. The choice of food was also a bit limited, but that didn't detract from the whole thing. We ate delicious. Above all, I should mention the venison goulash, which was delicious and also very large in portions. If we're in the area again, this is definitely a stop for us

Cabin in a beautiful location in the city forest. We were satisfied with the service, polite and quick. Unfortunately there was only one day ticket to choose from and unfortunately there wasn't much to choose from. Probably no cook was there that day. But the food ordered was still nicely presented and tasty.

Today we were at the Gasthaus Scherrhof. I have to say that we have been there several times and always ate delicious. The waiting time has always been a little longer than anywhere else. But that didn't really bother us. It is also clear to me that opening a restaurant during Corona times is more time-consuming than usual. But having several guests wait 30 minutes in front of the site, although tables were free and disinfected, is definitely not in the interests of the operator. The waitresses were overwhelmed and didn't have the time to look after the waiting guests and to assign tables. After half an hour we were assigned a table. Another half hour later we were sitting at the table unattended. We then left the inn again. At this point, many guests were still waiting at the entrance to be seen or heard. During this unfortunately short visit, the farm didn't seem as "beautiful" as it used to be. The wooden fence was broken, decorative garlands were torn down and empty glasses were standing around everywhere (including at the entrance). If a fully occupied beer garden cannot be managed during Corona times, information would be useful for the guests with waiting time.

Difficult to say. Clearly that 2 people where everything has to do is very little for such a place. The lady was nice, but also very overwhelmed. The shovel wasn't particularly good, but the tarte flambé was. Three asterisks just because of the long wait.

I can only say: terrible atmosphere. Very very rude host ... NOT RECOMMENDED. Never again this "shop". ....

Nice atmosphere but unfortunately the rest does not fit. We had to wait a long time before we were even served. Food unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The operation seemed pretty unmotivated.

I have known it since childhood and it is still a special place with atmosphere. Nice dishes very well presented and prices are good value for money. I can highly recommend this as a destination.

On the way back from the Badener Höhe to the Rote Lache, a small detour to the Scherrhof offered itself today. After entering the dining room, I first had to get used to the relative darkness and the decorations seem overloaded - but - the food is tasty and very plentiful - for hungry hikers. Service friendly and prices OK Overall conclusion: cozy

Beautiful property in a fantastic location !! Unfortunately the operators were absolutely unmotivated during our visit !! It may have been for private reasons or the wrong time (4:30 pm) but the service was under dignity. We were completely alone in the restaurant, but we were neither a menu yet Something else offered. We then left it with a beer. VERY HATE !!
